The lifecycle of your networking lead

Every networking lead possesses its own individual life-cycle. In this informative article, read about certainly one of my leads (that we got from a Success Women’s Network event) and just how it resulted in two very happy people.

Success Women’s Network functions offer priceless gold nuggets

I attend networking events sporadically, and that i definitely don’t see myself as an experienced ‘networker’! But regardless, whenever I attend a networking function, I leave having a priceless gold nugget. The gold nugget generally is a little bit of wisdom someone has kindly imparted, a warm feeling from sharing my own, personal tips, the possibility of exploring a fruitful business relationship, or - most precious of all - a dependable lead.

Below will be the life cycle of just one of those reliable leads.

She sold shoes. I just listened.

Through the networking event

In the networking event I met a pleasant lady named Noula who sold interchangeable shoes. I asked Noula all sorts of questions about her unique shoes and he or she enjoyed talking about them.

I listened.

By listening, not just did I become familiar with a lot about this awesome product (which i could tell my shoe-obsessed friends about) but I also discovered ways that I could help her.

Given that the product was innovative Gurus whether she’d received any press coverage in magazines or on television. Her response was, ‘No, I believe that would be too expensive’. My reply was, ‘It’s actually as easy as an argument, which as a copywriter, I can write for you’. She was interested. We exchanged business card printing.

Soon after the networking event

Following your networking event we emailed one another and shown interest in each other’s newsletter. She explained she was very keen to pursue the news release over the following month roughly.

Day after the networking event

Noula contacted me and asked if she could have the pr release sooner rather than later.

A couple of days following your networking event

The news release was written, and Noula will hopefully acquire some great media coverage. (During the time of scripting this, she already has interest from two travel publications).

From the seed to fruit

This specific networking lead turned into a purchase, but many importantly, charge turned into a company relationship that may continue to grow and evolve so long as the two of us have been in business.
